I started this music school with one goal.
Make sure every student gets impacted by music the same way I was. As a young adult I understand kids on a personal level, since I was in their shoes not too long ago. I want music to be something that's not "boring or lame", I want it to impact their school, sports, art, business etc.. because I speak from personal experience. 905 Music School provides a unique and highly personalized method of learning, creating an environment to nurture, educate and encourage creative individuals to achieve the highest level of success.Feel free to call or e-mail if you have any more questions regarding our teachers, lessons or even about me.Â

OUR CURRICULUM
MUSIC THEORY
Music Theory is the language used to talk about the music you hear and play. Learning music theory is similar to learning a new language and it is one of the most important things a musician can have in it’s arsenal. It helps them not only to become better performers, but also have a better understanding of the music they are playing and hearing.
SIGHT READING
Sight Reading isn’t just segregated to helping you become a better musician, sight reading helps the student use the creativity of the right side of the brain (perform the music) and logical left side (break down rhythms, read melodies) simultaneously, a skill that benefits for school and the workplace.
MUSICIANSHIP
Our main goal here at 905 Music is to make sure our students are enjoying what they are learning. We don’t ignore the fact learning this can get boring so we try to express the fact and show how fun being a musician can be, all this while teaching musicianship skills; growing their confidence, creating their own unique identity as a musician and make sure they are having fun while learning.
RCM EXAM/COMPETITION PREP
We encourage all students to participate in exams and competitions. Through the world recognized Royal Conservatory of Music students can participate in a grade system, take exams, build up high-school credits and develop jobs! Unlike many other in-home piano schools we follow a system. We have a goal tailored for each student and try to maximize their potential. All our teachers have been through this process and are familiar with the time it takes to prepare for exams. We also encourage many competitions here around the GTA because just like playing a high level sport, learning music takes a lot of hard work and can be very rewarding, there’s nothing better than showing off a gold medal to friends and family!
